Those nice young men on the APA Student Science council put together this great guide.


“Most importantly, remember to be fair to your participants. Members of online communities can review specific researchers and provide feedback about their work experience (e.g., Turkopticon). Many potential participants read this feedback and use it to decide which studies to complete. Researchers should monitor these communities to ensure they are not breaking community norms (e.g., underpaying participants). They are people taking time out of their day to help you complete a research study and should be treated with respect and courtesy.”
