Turkers write a novel

A new study talks about using MTurk to write a novel:

” First, crowd workers reflect to brainstorm and choose a high-level goal to pursue. Second, workers revise their work to achieve this goal by decomposing that goal into specific tasks. This process loops to continually improve previous work. We test our technique for crowd reflection and revision in a system for collaborative fiction writing called Mechanical Novel.”

It is kind of interesting and frightening all at the same time.
